Jippo was a painter who also taught art at a girl’s school in Tokyo in the early 1900s. During that time he published several woodblock-printed books to help students develop their drawing skills. The eleven pictures of flowers and (or) birds included in one of these books, entitled Joshi Mōhitsu Gajō (i.e., Girl's Album of Brush Paintings), are shown in this gallery.
