Saburō is best known for his many woodblock pictures of rural Japan but he also made more than ten woodblock prints which included flowers and (or) birds. Nineteen examples are shown below. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Some pictures included only flowers (e.g., 1-7) while others also included landscape elements (e.g., 8-19). He drew flower shapes in a true-to-life way but simplified their surface features and colors.
