Saburō is best known for his many woodblock pictures of rural Japan but he also made more than thirty woodblock prints which included flowers and (or) birds. Thirty-five examples are shown below. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Some pictures included only flowers (e.g., 1-8) while others also included landscape elements (e.g., 9-35). He drew flower shapes in a true-to-life way but simplified their surface features and colors.
