Tōru was a woodblock printmaker who included flowers, fruits and (or) birds in more than twenty of his prints. Twenty-six examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Like many modern artists Tōru drew his flower and bird subjects in a creative way by distorting their shapes and (or) by changing their true colors.
