Fumiko Hori Gallery of the Reader Collection of Japanese Flower-and-Bird Art

Fumiko is both a painter and printmaker. More than twenty of her screenprints include flowers and (or) birds and twenty-five examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. In some pictures (e.g., 1-12) she draws her flower subjects accurately while in other pictures (e.g., 13-25 ) she is more creative. She is most creative when coloring the birds in her pictures.
