Jakuchū decorated the ceiling of a Buddhist temple with 167 circular paintings of flowers. In 1890, long after his death, ninety-nine of these paintings were copied and published in a four-volume woodblock-printed picture book entitled Jakuchū Gafu (i.e., Picture Album by Jakuchū). Twenty of the ninety-nine printed copies are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. To see all ninety-nine prints click here.
