An undated picture book published by Jiemon Katsumura and entitled Ehon Yamato Nishiki (i.e., Ancient Japan Brocade Book) included the thirteen pictures of flowers and (or) birds shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Each picture’s subjects were drawn accurately but in most cases the artist’s name was not given.
