Seiji Sano Gallery of the Reader Collection of Japanese Flower-and-Bird Art

Seiji is a woodblock printmaker who included flowers and (or) birds in more than thirty of his prints. Thirty-seven examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Many of Seiji’s prints show a rural Japanese scene with flowers in the foreground (e.g., pictures 1-15). All objects in his pictures are drawn in a true-to-life way.
