As a tribute to his teacher Soken redrew some of Ōkyo Maruyama’s designs for inclusion in a woodblock-printed picture book entitled Enō Gafu (i.e., Picture Album by Old Man Maruyama). Published in 1837, it included the eight flower-bird pictures shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
