Tatsunobu included the ten pictures of flowers and (or) birds shown in this gallery in a picture book entitled Saishiki Gasen (i.e., Selection of Colored Prints). Click on a picture to enlarge it. At the time of publication (i.e., 1767) this book was a novelty because it was printed using multiple colors. However, insufficient colors were used to duplicate the actual coloring of the flowers and birds depicted.
