Tōkō drew the pictures for an 1805 picture book entitled Haikai Kachō Jō (i.e., Album of Flower and Bird Haikai). The book’s fourteen pictures are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Both flowers and birds were drawn in a “boneless” style (i.e., no black outline) which was in fashion at the time.
